Day 23: Traffic is a B!

Shirt: Mr. T's! (Pac Sun)
Jeans: F21
Belt: Uniqlo

Traffic was terrible this morning. And I know the reason why: the RAIN. Every time there is rain, it seems everyone and their mother is driving. And driving poorly. Hate it. >:(

This is what I wore when I dropped my friend off to her interview. In DC. In traffic. Mr. T is tallish (185cm) but is of thin build. So I like to wear his tops and then belt them. ^^ (Actually, I've bought stuff at Uniqlo and it seems XL is still too small. It's not the waist; it's the arms and waist. Hee hee.)  And that's what I did. I like to keep the bottoms tight because of the bigness of the T-shirt. I think it ended up looking cute.

I really love Uniqlo
I love the stripes on the shirt and I *love* this belt. Basically, I love Uniqlo.

Day 22: Hurry Curry

Dress: BCBG (thrifted)
Brooch: Korea
Earrings: Gift from Mom
Shoes: Korea

Today was so busy! Ugh. I guess that's a good thing. I had to visit family today so I wore sthing conservative. I've never had a wrap dress before, but I got this at the Goodwill and, like many before this, I was kind of kicking myself from buying it. The problem with the dress is that it is kind of big. As in, "I wear a XS/S and got a Medium." But, I solved it by pinning it with a brooch.  I got the idea of pinning to my bra courtesy of Jentine. (Who, by the way, lived in Korea. How awesome is that?!) What totally sucked, however, was I *lost* one of my brooches at Whole Foods, a supermarket I absolutely abhor, whilst buying a gift for said family. I spent way too much money and lost my favourite brooch! FML. I had sthing due today, but I am seriously thinking of going back tomorrow and see if they have it.

The *other* brooch. Isn't it pretty?
This is the other brooch that was pinned on my skirt. Without pinning it, the dress is cut way too low and I would need to wear a camisole to hide the non-existent goodies. On a positive note, I love the earring my mom got me; they seem to go with everything! Thanks, Mom!

I know that sometimes I post pictures of just the clothes and sometimes I post them on me. The reason why I do both and not always at the same time is because my goal is truly to determine what clothes I wear and what clothes I am underutilising. Documentation of my clothes is key. I want to ensure that everything in my closet is used. I would like to do more body pics, but they take a lot of time, and also, I don't like how I look. But, regardless, body shots give a better idea of how it falls on my body; I am going to try to do more body shots in the future. And maybe outside! (I really want to)

As for the title of the post: Hurry Curry is an awesome curry chain in LA. I miss good food. =(

Day 21: Feeling Unattractive

Shirt: JC Penney's
Belt: Uniqlo
Jeans: F21

Today, I was feeling very unattractive. I have been looking at old pictures and  I am realising that in the past few years, I feel less confident that I have felt prior to that. I dunno if it is because I was in Korea, or if I feel *old*, but I just don't feel like I have that zing. I've heard/read from different individuals that their significant others make them feel good about themselves. Well, I call B.S.! I feel *worse* (T_T) In fact, I don't feel like my sexy self. I am constantly criticising my body and feeling well, the *F*-word. (F.A.T.)

Love the stripes!
OK, enough complaining. I love the stripes on my shirt. I used to never love stripes, but now, I can't seem to get enough of them! I also love the belt. This shirt normally has a black plastic belt, but I swapped it with this brown leather one. I kind of like it.

Day 20: Something New?

Halter Top: H&M
Jeans: Uniqlo
Earrings: Flea Market at Clarendon

I got this halter top in Sweden, only to find out that this top is being offered here in the US a year later for 5 USD! W.T.F?!? It bothers me for two reasons: 1) does H&M ship out clothes to the US a few seasons behind? and 2) I could have bought this same shirt for a lot less! (grrr)

I was supposed to go visit my relatives, not wearing this, of course, but there was a change of plans and so I decided to wear something different. (Secret: I had to wear Spanx to smooth out the tummy. It was not a good day) I am feeling motivated to start looking cuter and actually enjoy what I wear. I realise that I feel so stagnant in my feelings about my clothes; it bothers me.

Best 12 USD I ever spent!
Here are the details of the earrings: before I bought these, I bought sthing similar at Target, only to find out they were brassy by week 2. I bought another pair; only to find the same results. These earring have last me a year and are still going strong. In this case, you truly get what you pay for!

Day 19: Gator Don't Play That!

Sweater: J. Crew (Gift from Mom)
Tank: Korea
Jeans: Levi's
Earrings: Accessorize (Korea)

Today, I went to watch The Other Guys with Mr. T. It was surprisingly very funny; I recommend watching it, if you like other Frat Pack movies. Recently, I've not been a huge fan of Will Ferrel's movies, but this one was better than his last bust.

Love the details!

I love this sweater/cardigan, but the problem with it is when I button it, it looks all bunchy where the buttons are, so I have to keep it open, for now.  I also love how feminine it looks. I will admit I am a total girly-girl who loves girlish things; such cute details make me very happy, indeed.

Aren't these lovely?

I *love* these earrings. I got these in Korea from an English accessory company called Accessorize. I adore all the cute stuff I get from there, and I receive tons of compliments, but they *are* bit pricey, as they are converted from the British pound. I would recommend F21, as they have stellar accessories without the price load. And, regarding said accessories, I truly believe that unless they are something that will last a long time, i.e. precious stones, etc, there is no need to spend an exorbitant amount on costume jewelry, as they will all bite le dust.

Day 18: Thunder and Lightning

Shirt: Costco (Korea)
Shorts: Old Navy

It has been thundering and lightning all day today here in DC! Boooo. After my epic fail yesterday, I decided to *try* and wear something else in my massive clothes closet. I got the shirt at the Costco in Korea. I love the Korean Costco. Much much better than the one here in DC. Better quality clothes, better fit. Probably because it's for Asian, and that's right, I'm Asian. ^_^

Detail Shot!
Since the top is bejeweled, I decided to *not* wear any other jewelry. In hindsight, some earrings might have done me some good. I also like this shirt because it's looser fit in the tummage area, and I always like clothes that cover my number 1 problem area.

The shorts are the same shorts I have worn in the past, but khaki in colour rather than white. I love these shorts from Old Navy. I usually do not buy in bulk, but I like the fact that these shorts are not too short that they bunch in the thigh area (you *know* what I mean, don't lie) And, they are on super sale now; I would totally get on it if I didn't buy them already. One thing I very much appreciate about these Old Navy shorts is that they are sold in a variety of lengths; from 3-inches, to 5-inches, to 7-inches, to Bermuda length (9.5-inches). One of the biggest problem I find is that shorts are either too short, or they are too long. By giving us the choice, we can buy the length in which *we* feel comfortable. Thank you, Old Navy!

That's me!
Yes, that's me! I know it's better to show how the clothes hang on a real body than just laid out flat. What do you think? I am in le bathroom, as it is raining cats and dogs and I'm still deciding if I should do outfit pics like these because I am seriously unphotogenic. Notice how it hides the tummy?  I like it. And notice how the shorts are short, but not too short? I like that too. I had to size up because the size 0 fit everywhere but the bum area. So this is a little loose, but I can just belt it.

A frontal view (See how loose the shorts are?)

Day 17: Boring

Shirt: Target
Jeans: F21

Yes, I wore this before. I have so many different outfits, but I am feeling blah. And it shows. Tomorrow, I will strive to do better. =(
